Swim Team

Welcome to Indian Valley Swim Team!

IVST has been a vibrant part of our community and the Walnut Creek Swim Conference for nearly 50 years. Every summer, we compete against our fellow WCSC teams – Dewing Park, Larkey, Rudgear Estates, Rudgear Meadows, Springbrook, Sun Valley and Walnut Heights – in a dual swim meet format. Special invitational meets and dual meets with other neighboring teams complete our summer schedule.

IVST strives for a balance of competition, sportsmanship, friendship and loads of fun. In addition to fun, there is definitely work involved. Swimmers work at their own pace, but will strive to improve times and stroke efficiency, make faster starts and turns, and focus on their mental training and overall conditioning. Coaches will be on deck to correct stroke technique, provide positive feedback and encourage all swimmers to do their best in every practice and race.

As a team, we depend heavily on the support of parent volunteers to ensure that all swimmers and families have a fun and rewarding recreational swim team experience. Our team could not operate without parental support!

There is also a long history of tradition and pride at Indian Valley Swim Team. Our swimmers are consistently reminded that integrity, sportsmanship and respect for other swimmers and coaches create the foundation for a strong team, and even stronger individuals.

IVST Coaching Staff

Returning for her 6th straight season is IVST Head Coach, Sarah Wondolowski, along with returning assistant coaches Matty Sevilla, Garrett Lenahan & Lindsay Forbes. We're very pleased that former IVST swimmer, Michael Jamieson, will be joining our 2010 coaching staff as well.  We are also happy to be bringing back former swimmer and coach, Sam Dix, to manage our growing pre-season program, and assist with our coaching needs throughout the season.  We're looking forward to a great summer at IVST with this terrific group of coaches!

How can I become a member of IVST?
